FAQ

The questions clients ask first

Can't find what you're looking for? Call +36 30 945 4179 or email [email protected] — we answer the same day.

What do you need from me to start?
Drawings in whatever state they exist — plans, elevations, sections, a PDF, a sketch. Your material and finish intent, even rough. A decision on what the images are for — planning, sales, an investor deck — because that sets the camera, the hour of the day and the level of finish. And one person who can say yes. If you have 3D data (Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, DWG), the modelling line on the price list halves; a PDF or sketch doubles it.
How do I get a quote, and is the first conversation free?
Every line we sell has a list price and a stable code on the price list, and the price calculator builds a total with the same maths we quote with. Send your plans and a short description — or a calculator link — and you get a quote by code within one business day. The first 30-minute conversation is free, with no obligation; most of them start from a package on the price list and adjust it.
Do you work in Hungarian and English?
Yes, both. Hungarian clients can work entirely in Hungarian; international projects run in English. The price list and the general terms exist in both languages.
Can we start before there is a 3D model — from a sketch or a flat export?
Yes. A pencil sketch, a SketchUp or ArchiCAD export, or a render from an earlier phase is enough for a photorealistic AI concept image, in days rather than weeks — see AI Render Upgrade. When the design settles, the 3D model follows for everything that has to be exact.
How long does a typical project take?
  • Single exterior render: 3–5 days
  • Multi-view package of 5–10 stills: 1–2 weeks
  • Interior package: 1–2 weeks
  • 90-second animation: 3–4 weeks
  • VR or interactive: 4–6 weeks
  • Full developer marketing package: 6–8 weeks, staged to your launch
  • Concept-stage AI image set: days

The clock starts when the complete model version and the first payment have arrived. Timelines in a quote are working-day estimates and binding only when the quote says so. The AI finishing pass shortened the last stretch of every schedule.

Can you work to a tight deadline?
Often — with advance notice, and sometimes without, depending on current load. Rush is ×1.25 on production items, written on the price list so there is no surprise; hosting, rentals and day rates are never rushed. We do not agree to timelines we cannot meet.
What happens if the design changes mid-project?
Prices cover the one model version supplied at ordering. Small changes after that are charged at the production hourly rate; a second design phase or a major model revision is 30 % of the affected modelling line, and we say in advance which of the two a change is. A correction at draft stage costs a fraction of one after finishing, so flag anything that looks wrong early. For architects we also offer packages that carry a project through the three or four design phases, concept to construction documentation, with the same camera and model updates between phases — see the price list.

Useful AI, not hype

AI on your project

Is AI used on my project, and will I know?
Yes, on every deliverable at some stage — at least upscaling, usually also denoising, retouching, people and vegetation. Modelled lines are modelled and rendered by us; AI lines are generated. On delivery we state which items are AI-generated, and every delivered file carries a record of the tools that touched it. Section 9 of our terms spells it out.
Do you work in 3D or with AI?
Both, mixed on every project. We use AI wherever it is faster, and a 3D model wherever geometry, dimensions or consistency between views must be exact — a generated image varies in its details and cannot be corrected with a 3D render's precision. The price list prices modelling, rendered images and AI images as separate lines, so a quote combines exactly what your project needs.
What is ArchUpgrade?
Our in-house production pipeline that turns a working 3D render into photorealistic images, in daily use since early 2026. For each approved view it generates candidates across the moods we agreed — lighting, season, time of day, furnishing style — and a local vision model scores every candidate on five criteria before a person picks. Same geometry, same camera, same layout. What it changes for you is the iteration count: a curated selection from dozens of candidates instead of two polished images. From render to photograph shows it on real projects.
Does my material leave your building?
No. Every model we run is open-weight and runs on our own GPU farm. Nothing is uploaded to a third-party service, nothing is used to train anyone's model, and there is no per-image cloud cost quietly shaping how many variations we try. Plans under NDA and unreleased schemes stay on our network.
Will AI change my design?
No. The pipeline works from the accurate 3D model — it enhances, it does not invent unless we instruct it to. Walls, proportions, furniture positions and brand colours stay where the designer put them, and a candidate whose fidelity score shows drift is rejected automatically. Where a surface has to match a specific product — a supplier's oak floor, a listed facade — we model it and render it in V-Ray.
Can I have a night, dusk or winter version of an approved view without a re-render?
Yes. Time of day, season, weather, furnishing style, budget tier — generated from the approved view with the scene locked, and priced as a variant at a fraction of a new view. They are look passes for presentation, not lighting simulations; a physically measured sun study still comes from the model.
Can you upgrade my old renders or raw software exports?
Yes. AI Render Upgrade takes an existing image — a previous-phase render, an ArchiCAD, Revit or SketchUp export — and returns photorealistic variations with the geometry fixed. Self-serve at ai.visiongraphics.eu, or as a line on any quote.
Can you animate a still image?
Yes. Camera moves, time-of-day and weather transitions are generated from a still — the simple AI film — and cut into films of 30 seconds to 5 minutes, in landscape, portrait or square; the complex AI film adds prompted scenes, people and actors. Either can be ordered as clips only, the raw shots without edit, from 3 seconds — see AI Animation. Right for social feeds and sales-office loops. A continuous flythrough with exact geometry in every frame is still based on a 3D animation, or on the 3D-directed AI film that animates the camera in 3D and lets AI render the frames.
What can AI not do?
Honestly, we cannot tell you. It has limitations today, and the list changes every week. What does not change: the accuracy comes from the 3D model, and the judgement about which image tells the story stays human.
Are the AI tools licensed for commercial use?
Yes, and it is enforced by configuration rather than by promise. Every model carries a licence class, and anything non-commercial or research-only is locked out of paid deliverables. Before a tool reaches production it passes through our own vetting database, re-checked weekly for release state, licence and hardware needs — how we vet the flood.
Do you use autonomous AI agents on client work?
Not to decide anything a client sees. What we run is scheduled automation: jobs that fire overnight, generate, check their own output against an automated review, and leave a shorter list for a person to read in the morning. The judgement stays human — the boring version of AI automation.
Do AI images need to be labelled?
Generally yes. Where a law or a platform requires it, you label them in your own publications; we state in the delivery which items are AI-generated so you can. Our images have carried the word "illustration" for thirty years; nothing new there. We never clone a real person's voice or likeness without their written consent.

Process and rights

Working together

Who will actually work on my project?
László Kerezsi and our 3D staff, from brief to delivery. When a project needs a specialist — character animation, BIM, photogrammetry, drone photography, Unreal Engine — we bring in tested partners; László stays your single point of contact and reviews everything before it leaves the studio.
How many revision rounds are included?
Two per stage, and the stages are model check, drafts and final (previz, draft and final for film). A round is one consolidated list of changes from one authorised contact; scattered or contradictory requests from several people count as separate rounds. Further rounds are charged at the production hourly rate.
How do you handle feedback?
Mainly by email or through our revisioning tool; annotated images, PDFs or a call when that is clearer. We confirm our reading before implementing, so no round is wasted on a misunderstanding. At the AI finishing stage you can sit in on the selection round and pick from the scored candidates with us. If a submission gets no reply for 3 working days we may treat the stage as approved, after telling you, so the timeline holds.
Can you handle large-scale projects?
Yes. Airport terminals, urban masterplans and exhibition content are on the record — Budapest Airport, Antalya Airport T2, Sochi and Pulkovo airports, the Road Safety Centre in Doha. The specialist network scales around the project; the point of contact does not change.
What file formats do you deliver?
Stills as 4–6K JPG/PNG, upscaled to print resolution where needed. Film as 1080p MP4, with 4K, 360° or ProRes/DNxHR masters when quoted — an edited film from 30 seconds, or "clips only": the raw generated shots without edit, grade, music or titles, from 3 seconds, at the clips rate. Tours, viewers, tools and microsites as hosted web deliverables. Floor plans and sales sheets as PDF/PNG.
Do I own the images?
You receive, on full payment, a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence to use them for the named project — marketing, advertising, broadcast, presentation, sale, lease, planning and permitting, paid advertising included, at no extra licence fee — and you may pass them to the project's agents, brokers, investors and press. Copyright stays with the studio. Use for another project, resale, stock licensing or as AI training data needs a separate licence. Section 8 of our terms has the full wording.
Can I get source files or editable 3D scenes?
By arrangement, at +25 % of the relevant item. Layered PSDs, 3ds Max scenes and project files are not part of the standard delivery, and licensed third-party assets — people, cars, trees, textures and the like — stay out where their licence does not allow it.
Will you show my project in your portfolio?
Only once the project is public, naming the project and the architect — or from a date we agree if you ask for confidentiality at ordering. Unpublished projects are never shown.
How long is a 360° tour or web viewer hosted?
Twelve months from delivery are included. After that, hosting continues at the annual fee on the price list unless either side cancels before the renewal date. On request you get the static files to host elsewhere.

Tools and infrastructure

Technical details

What software do you use?
3ds Max since version 1, with V-Ray for 15+ years. Unreal Engine 5 for VR and real-time work. Blender. ComfyUI and SwarmUI with local models, and Ollama for automated quality review. And our own tools: ArchUpgrade, a tour engine that publishes 360° tours straight from the 3D scene, a render-farm controller, and a MAXScript and Python toolkit — written with AI assistants and, for some jobs, driven by one.
Can you work with BIM models (Revit, ArchiCAD)?
Yes, daily. We usually ask for geometry exports rather than native files, but both work. A usable 3D model halves the modelling line on the price list; the multiplier is set from what you actually deliver.
What image resolution do you deliver?
4–6K on the long edge as standard. For hoarding-sized prints we upscale to 4K or 8K with detail added rather than smeared — which also gives an older render a second life. Animation up to 4K when quoted.
Do you do 360° tours and VR?
Yes. 360° tours are generated by our own engine from the same 3D scene as the stills — viewpoints, floor plan and links included — so a design change re-publishes the tour instead of rebuilding it, and a tour can be relit or upscaled without a re-render. Guided viewing lets a presenter steer what every visitor sees on their own phone or headset. Real-time VR walkthroughs are built in Unreal Engine. How we built the tour engine.
What is your render infrastructure?
Our own farm of up to fifteen machines, in our building: V-Ray render nodes by night, AI generation nodes by day, switched from one dashboard. No third-party cloud — not for quality-critical rendering and not for AI.
Can you run the AI finishing pass on our studio's renders?
Yes, since this year. Send working renders from any software and get back photorealistic versions with lighting, season and time-of-day variants, quality-scored and delivered with provenance metadata. Standalone at ai.visiongraphics.eu, or a line on any quote. Your images stay on our network.
Do you build tools or audit pipelines for other studios?
Yes. Pipeline audits that start with a written report, quick wins first. Custom 3ds Max tools in MAXScript and Python — batch rendering, scene repair, asset management, connections to other systems. AI tooling that runs on your own machines when data cannot leave your network. And render nodes with your scene prepared properly before it hits the farm.

Investment

Pricing and confidentiality

How much does architectural visualization cost?
Every line has a list price, and every quote is built from those lines. Four packages show the scale:
  • Puli €1,445 — Model of one house from a 3D CAD model, five daytime exterior views, three night variants.
  • Vizsla €6,110 — One block modelled, ten exterior views, five night variants, two photo montages, an eight-viewpoint 360° tour and eight AI interiors.
  • Kuvasz €18,008 — Vizsla plus a 60-second 3D film, a studio and a 2-bedroom show flat, unit plans for 20 flats of 10 types and a sales-sheet template.
  • Komondor €22,808 — Kuvasz plus a web 3D viewer with two variant sets, a branded microsite and three social shorts.

Build your own in the price calculator, or read the full price list. A night or dusk variant of an existing view is a fraction of a new view; 3D film is an order of magnitude more than stills.

What drives cost up, and what keeps it down?
Up: 3D film instead of stills, the number of distinct camera angles, interior detail such as furnishing and bespoke materials, rush timelines, and plan revisions after ordering. Down: a usable 3D model instead of 2D plans, a clear brief with one plan version at ordering, repetition — unit types, panorama blocks, short bundles —, AI where exact geometry is not needed, and a framework agreement for repeat work.
What are your hourly rates based on?
The Hungarian Chamber of Architects (MÉK) recommended fee schedule for 2026. It lists computer visualization under category 3, at HUF 44,018 net per hour; our expert hour (€120) sits at that level, and the production hour (€90) at category 4, the rate for CAD production work (HUF 33,014). Both are net of VAT and, like the chamber's rates, cover every overhead — and where the MÉK fee includes a single use of the work, ours includes unrestricted marketing use for the named project. Source: MÉK hourly fee table 2026 (PDF).
What are the payment terms?
40 % on order, 30 % on approval of the drafts, 30 % on delivery; orders under €1,500 net are 50/50. Invoices are due in 8 days in Hungary and 14 days internationally. Prices are net EUR: 27 % VAT for Hungarian clients, reverse charge for VAT-registered clients elsewhere in the EU, no VAT outside the EU. Hungarian quotes can be issued in forint at a rate fixed each January.
How long is a quote valid?
30 days. The price list is indexed every January (Hungarian consumer price index, at least +5 %); framework clients receive a price letter fixed for twelve months.
How do you handle confidential projects?
We sign an NDA on request before any material is shared, and confidentiality is written into our terms regardless. Files stay on our own network — the AI pipeline included; nothing goes to a third-party service. Confidential projects never appear in the portfolio without permission.
Do you work with unreleased developments and competition entries?
Yes, frequently. Pre-announcement real estate, commercial developments and competition entries all require discretion, and we are used to operating under embargo for the full duration of a project.

Files, changes, archive

After delivery

What does final delivery include?
The picked images in a clean, numbered package in every agreed format, hosted URLs for tours and viewers, and a metadata record with the generation history and the tools used on each file. Source files where contracted.
How long do you keep project files?
At least 24 months by contract; in practice five years and more, with backups in several places. The 3D model can be updated for later phases or additional outputs without starting over. Archive access on request.
Can I request changes after delivery?
Yes. The existing scene is the starting point, and a delivered image can be branched from its exact version — "that one, but at dusk" is a re-run, not a reconstruction from memory. Priced from the price list, quick turnaround.
What if I'm not satisfied with the result?
Checkpoint reviews at every stage mean the final is never a cold reveal, which is why this is rare. If something is still wrong, report it within 3 working days of delivery with specifics and we fix genuine defects at our cost.

Side projects

Vision Graphics Labs

What is Vision Graphics Labs?
Free browser apps about light, colour, geometry and sound — a sun-path simulator, a lens and depth-of-field wheel, a floor-plan-to-3D tool, daily spatial-aptitude games — at labs.visiongraphics.eu. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded, no accounts, no ads, no tracking. They are toys made from studio skills, not substitutes: a permit-grade sun study and the massing model still come from your drawings, in the project.
Can I have one with my brand on it?
Yes, three ways. We build it — a campaign toy or daily game is a fixed line on the price list, next to the sun-study tool and the configurator. We teach your team to build one in a workshop day. Or a short session on what knowledge your brand owns that people would want to play with.
